McDowell Ready to Return to Site of Season-Best Finish
CONCORD, N.C. (June 29, 2016) – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Michael McDowell and Circle Sport - Leavine Family Racing are excited to be returning to Daytona International Speedway, where the team secured its best finish of the season – a 15th place finish in the Daytona 500 to start the season.

Last weekend at Sonoma Raceway, McDowell and the No. 95 K-LOVE Radio team were on track to a solid Top-15 finish until a broken rear axle put the team out of the race.  McDowell secured his best career qualifying effort at the road course with a new chassis. The No. 95 Chevrolet was off to a solid start to the race, clipping positions one by one during the start.

This week, the team once again has a chance to secure a great finish, as they will sport the same chassis they used in the Daytona 500 and at Talladega Superspeedway for the Geico 500 earlier in the season.

Getting back behind the wheel of the No. 95 K-LOVE Chevrolet SS, McDowell knows his team always has the opportunity to secure a great finish at superspeedways.

"As a small team, the superspeedways are key races where we can run up front and have a shot at winning," said McDowell.  "We had a great run going at Sonoma – the car was great and I was able to pass well.  We just had some bad luck.  It was disappointing as we had pinpointed this track as a key race for our team.  We're looking to gain back our luck at Daytona – this is another track where our team can run well and vie for the win."

Before hitting the road for the 2.5-mile track, Circle Sport - Leavine Family Racing hosted its second annual Camp 95 at the race shop in Concord, NC. Twenty-five high school students from all over the country visited CSLFR for a two-day camp to learn about careers in motorsports. Campers gained hands-on experience in several areas of the racing industry and met with the team crew chief, engineer, tire specialist, pit crew and more.

"We were excited to bring back Camp 95 back this year after having such a successful inaugural camp last summer," said Jeremy Lange, VP of CSLFR. "It's a really great opportunity for kids who want to get into motorsports to learn about many of the different career options available. It's definitely a great way to start the week before heading off to Daytona."

McDowell and Circle Sport - Leavine Family Racing will take to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero 400 on Saturday, July 2 at 7:45 p.m. EST. Race fans can tune-in to NBC for live coverage and follow @CSLFR95 on Twitter for updates.
